Membership rules and fees - Revised for 2018-2019

We are a not for profit organisation. We strive to balance our books each year and look to make a modest surplus of income over expenditure so that we have a small reserve in the Bank for unexpected expenses from time to time.

We align our membership calendar with the TTE (Table Tennis England) year 1st August to 31st July.

All our members are registered with Table Tennis England (TTE). The majority of members will be registered as "Player" members of TTE. In exceptional circumstances some members will only be registered as "Associate" members. TTE membership provides insurance cover for anyone participating in any club activity.

All members packages below include the TTE "player" registration fees which were £16 (Adult) and £8 (Under 18) for the 2018/19 year.

We have 5 basic annual membership packages as follows:

These membership "Types" are based on a member's anticipated attendance and participation in Competitive events and activities as follows:

  • Active Member
    Attends Club night regularly and is active in League and Competitive play
  • Social Member
    Attends irregulary and rarely takes part in League or competitive play
  • Family Active Membership
    One Adult & One Junior with both attending regularly and taking part in League etc.
  • Family Social Membership
    One Adult & One Junior (Under 18) as above.

In addition to the above we are a small enough club to be able to tailor "packages" suited to a member's profile if it does not "fit" with one of the above Types.

Please Note - We now only accept payment of fees in one lump sum for the year (or part year) or by monthly standing Order.

Guests and visitors on Monday Club nights will be charged a £5 session fee. We encourage membership after 4 guest visits. This is an insurance requirement.

Once payment is made, or the Standing Order is set up, there is nothing else to pay. No session fees, no match fees and entry to tournaments and competitions is covered.

We are open approximately 45 Monday evenings for recreational/social play throughout the year, these are our 'Club' nights. We will be closed on all Bank Holidays and a few selected Mondays over the Easter/Summer/Christmas/New Year periods. Members will be advised of closures by Email updates.

Members email address are used to communicate with you and to advise news/events, opening dates/times, closures etc., and of course this website will be updated to reflect these. We also have a Facebook page and Group which we encourage you to 'like/join'.

Data Declaration

  • Your personal membership details, name address etc. will be held on a single Home Computer.
  • Personal Data is shared ONLY with TTE (Table Tennis England) for registration purposes.
  • Your Email address will be visible to other club members within our regular communications.
  • Your Contact details may be shared with other players to facilitate Team/player coordination.
