Following the relaxation of Covid restrictions we are now open again on Monday evenings at The Petersfield School (TPS) and operating within the guidelines below.

Our Club evenings are split broadly into 3 One-hour sessions starting at 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm

  • Early session (6:30- 7:30) - Mostly our Beginners/Improvers/Juniors/New members & Visitors
  • Middle session (7:30- 8:30) - Mostly intermediate players/Lower Division League Players (including Juniors)/Improvers
  • Late session (8:30- 9:30) - Mostly our better players/Advanced standard/League Divisions 1 & 2 Players.

These are NOT hard and fast Rules but more general guidelines to be followed. There will be overlapping/mixing. Please also note that we will normally have five tables available all evening.

If it gets busy at any point during the evening, then you may have to wait to get on a table (or play doubles).

One Table is set aside at the early session each Monday to accommodate new members, visitors and beginners who are most welcome to attend. If you fall into this category, please attend the early session if possible. Your first few visits are free.

Mixing with others, switching Tables, playing doubles and passing on skills/knowledge to beginners is encouraged.

We want everybody to enjoy our Club nights. If we are quiet (it happens sometimes) you are welcome to stay all evening. If we are busy (most nights) please be aware of others waiting to get on a table and limit your table time accordingly.

Our Club rules (incl. Covid precautions) can be found here - please read them.

Local Radio Feature

In November 2021, Alan Cosh of Petersfield Shine Radio, paid a visit to one of our club nights and interviewed Julian Hawkins and one or two other members. It was broadcast on Alan's morning show on Thursday 25th November and for those who missed it you can listen to it here.

Petersfield Table Tennis Club was formed and launched in May 2015. During the last 6 years our growth and success has been amazing. We have an active and growing membership encompassing all ages and abilities.

Our competitive members playing in the local league (Haslemere) have enjoyed tremendous success in both the winter and summer leagues and in local tournaments and competitions. See the HDTTA Honours page.

We currently operate from a split site and our Monday evening "Club" night is based at The Petersfield School (TPS) Cranford Road, Petersfield. Here we normally have five tables available in a large hall with high ceilings and wooden flooring. Our League matches during the winter season (Oct-Apr) are based at the Petersfield Rugby Club clubhouse, adjacent to the Taro Centre at Penns Place, Petersfield.

Normally we are open at TPS every Monday evening throughout the year except for Bank Holidays. Our opening hours are 6.30pm until 9.30pm. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly and we welcome players of all ages and abilities.

New Members, visitors and guests are always welcome on Mondays at TPS. Please come early if you can, there is no charge for coming to see us and having a knock. Any of our members will be happy to tell you about the Club and how we operate.
